Choosing Glassware That Matches the Drink
The right glass changes how a cocktail actually drinks, not just how it looks. A coupe glass — shallow and wide, holding 5–6oz — is built for cocktails served up with no ice, like a Martini or Daiquiri; the wide mouth lets the aromatics reach you with every sip. A Collins glass, by contrast, is tall and narrow and meant for long, ice-filled drinks — a Tom Collins, Mojito, or Paloma — where you want the ice doing slow, steady work over a longer sip. Reach for a rocks glass instead when a drink’s spirit-forward and meant to be sipped over a single large cube, like a Negroni or Old Fashioned.
Material matters too. Crystal glassware has a thinner wall and a clearer finish than standard bar glass, which is why it’s the standard pour for cocktails meant to be seen as much as tasted — though it also means checking dishwasher-safety before you buy, since not every crystal glass on the market can handle repeat washes the way ours can.
We carry coupe, Collins, and rocks glassware finished in genuine etched crystal, built for nightly bar use rather than a one-off dinner party. Browse the collection above, or read why glassware matters for the longer version.
