In the world of stirred cocktails, a great bar spoon is the star of the show! A perfectly weighted bar spoon will help ensure a smooth stirring motion, allowing you to effortlessly stir your cocktail until it is perfectly chilled. The Teardrop Barspoon featured an iconic design, with a spiraled handle that helps to grip the spoon while stirring, a weighted tip for balance, and a beautiful spoon that can also be used for measurements, picking up garnish (such as cherries), garnishes, and more.
Our Teardrop Bar Spoon features durable construction and comes in a selection of four different color finishes including stainless steel, gold, copper, and gunmetal black. It has been used by both professional bartenders and home enthusiasts across the country, and we’ve received glowing reviews on this "must-have" for your bar tool collection.
If you’re looking for a recipe to try out your Teardrop Bar Spoon, might we suggest the following cocktail that is perfect for winter months with its dark, elegant color:
Boulevardier Cocktail - Named after Erskine Gwynne, who was an American writer who founded the monthly magazine in Paris called "Boulevardier."
The Boulevardier cocktail is similar to a Negroni but can be made with either Bourbon or Rye Whiskey (We prefer Bourbon - but you do you!). Paul Clark wrote for "Serious Eats" that the Boulevardier is not a Negroni but the Negroni's long-lost autumnal cousin. Clark believes that the whiskey can change the whole storyline of the drink and change its overall impression!
Here is the recipe for this fantastic cocktail:
- 5 oz Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 1 oz Campari
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass. Add ice and stir until chilled. Strain into a Rothko Double Rocks Glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange peel, and enjoy!
