Fifth & Vermouth presents Christopher Cho this holiday season as he tells us a cocktail story about how campfire memories sparked him to create the Wildfire cocktail.
Fifth & Vermouth wants to tell you about Christopher Cho and his cocktail called the Wildfire and the story behind what inspired him to create this amazing cocktail. His story is short, sweet, and to the point, but drives another great experience of a bartender whose experiences create new ideas in the bar community. Here is his story.
My cocktail story is inspired by one of my favorite classic cocktails called the Martinez. A classic Martinez uses Gin, Sweet Vermouth, Maraschino Liqueur and bitters. It’s been a favorite of mine since I started bartending 14 years ago. It’s a classic cocktail I’ve been batching and taking with me on camping trips. Sitting around the campfire sipping on my Martinez, it got me thinking about how I would get some of this nature and smoke into my cocktail. During my camping trip, it inspired me to create a new cocktail creation inspired by the Martinez and sitting around the campfire.
