The Whiskey Smash is a true classic cocktail created by Jerry Thomas in 1862 and, like a wooden muddler, has lasted the test of time.

- 2 oz Whiskey (we prefer Bourbon)
- 3 lemon wedges
- ¾ oz simple syrup
- 4 mint leaves
- Mint sprig (for garnish)
Muddle the lemon wedges in a shaker to release the juice. Add whiskey, simple syrup, mint leaves, and ice. Shake until well chilled. Double-strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and enjoy!
